The District Clerk is responsible for:
  • Providing support staff for district and county courts
  • Collaborating with judges to obtain timely disposition of all court cases
  • Serving as registrar, recorder, and custodian of all documents
  • Collecting filing fees
  • Managing funds held in litigation and monies awarded to minors

  • Managing and safeguarding the collection of fees
  • Fostering a positive work environment
  • Providing education for all employees
  • Demanding impeccable work ethics in order to adhere to the Statutory and Constitutional duties of the office 
  • Sustaining transparency in government operations

The District Clerk's Office strategic plan was created to ensure that all members of the organization are working to accomplish the same goals. A product of collaborative thinking and planning, the strategic plan introduces our priorities for the years to come and how we can work together to fulfill our mission in providing the County of Hidalgo with efficient and accountable service.
