The "Dare to Prepare" Disaster Fairs have been hosted in CRC's across all of Hidalgo County and in so doing, have brought helpful information and education about hurricane preparedness to the public.This is a very important cause and we hope we have been able to reach as many families as possible. Our 2nd Annual "Dare to Prepare" Disaster Fairs will conclude this week, with the final event to be held at the Progreso CRC from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

If you have not already joined us and will be in the area, we urge you to do so. Agencies such as the American Red Cross, Texas A & M Colonias Program, Hidalgo County Emergency Management, Hidalgo County Health and Human Servics, and many others will be on hand to discuss hurricane issues and hand out information and goodies. HEB will also be preparing and serving hot dogs as well as distributing waters, and other snacks to the public.
